Skim a bedroom ceiling, 3.4 by 4.2, and there's a patch of blown plaster by the window. Half day should do it.

What works today, honestly.

Lempel is in build and not open to the public. Rather than describe a finished product, here is exactly what the application does right now. The amber markers further down are the parts that are still coming.

  • Photo and text intake on a quote
  • Quotes, jobs, invoices and diary
  • Secure quote links customers can accept
  • Your labour rate and VAT applied to the maths
  • Branded PDF quotes and invoices
  • EIC, EICR and Minor Works certificate drafts

One job, start to finish, without the evening admin.

Each step feeds the next. Nothing gets typed in twice.

  1. First

Describe the job however suits you

Photos and a few lines of text. Lempel asks only what it needs to price the work, and if you correct it in conversation — make that four hours, not three — the correction sticks.

  2. Then

A quote in your numbers, not generic ones

Your labour rate, your materials markup and your VAT position, calculated properly rather than guessed, and every line editable before it goes anywhere.

  3. On acceptance

    The job sets itself up

Accepting a quote opens the job with the scope, the original photos and the customer's details already in place. Ready for whoever is on site.

In buildA generated materials list and plan of works come later.
  4. On completion

    Invoice out

The invoice reflects the work that was approved. Send it with a payment link and track what has actually landed.

  5. All year

    Receipts filed as they happen

Photograph the receipt in the merchant's car park and it lands against the right job.

In buildNot built yet. This is the next thing after the estimator.
  6. And if you're an electrician

    Certificates too

EIC, EICR and Minor Works, organised, with branded PDFs for your own records.

In buildDescribed here because early access is about what is coming.

It finds out what the job actually cost — then quotes better next time.

Because the receipts and the hours come back into the same system that produced the quote, Lempel can see where your estimates drift. Not industry averages. Your jobs.

Next bathroom quote: your last four averaged 22.7 hours, so this one is built on 22 — not your old 18-hour default.

Trades who are good at the work and sick of the office side.

Quoting at 9pm

You promised it Tuesday. It's Thursday and it still isn't written. Photograph the job while you're standing in it, and read the priced version back over your tea.

Chasing your own money

The work's done and the invoice is still in the van. Raise it from the finished job the same day, with a payment link in it, and see what has actually landed.

No office, no admin help

There's nobody to hand it to. Every quote, every invoice, every certificate is you, after a full day on the tools.

What it will cost

Being straight with you: Lempel isn't finished. It's in build, it's being tested properly before anyone relies on it for real money, and it won't open up until it's ready. That's the reason for a list rather than a signup button.
